Arrte exists because we’ve had enough of that.
We don’t build things for the sake of looking smart. We build because we’ve seen collapse, and we still believe in repair.
My name is Solara A. A. Ali, and I am the founder and director of Arrte Ltd.
Arrte started quietly, as a response to brokenness: in governance, in institutions, in aid, in design.
Over time, it became something deeper; a gathering of people who knew that intelligence without heart is just performance.
We’re not a conventional firm.
We’re mathematicians, physicians and surgeons, food and nutritionists, advocates, educators, engineers from Sudan; from the African and Arab world, from places that rarely get to lead the conversation.
We work slowly, carefully, and honestly.
